2018 Accord: A New Accord For A New Era

The 2018 Honda Accord has a completely new upscale look that’s sure to impress. It is now lower, wider, and shorter than the previous model.  The 2018 Accord is also significantly lighter than its predecessor and that means a big increase in all kinds of efficiencies. When you step inside the 2018 Accord, its roominess is apparent. Honda designers put the extra width to good use that occupants will appreciate. We haven’t even touched on the technology yet. Here’s a hint: there’s lots of it on the 2018 Accord. It’s not an exaggeration to say this is the most advanced technological vehicle to date for Honda.

Interior

Bigger and better. Those two words best describe the interior of the 2018 Honda Accord. Most noteworthy now there is an extra two inches of rear seat legroom.  Also 2018 Accord also received a ton of tech upgrades, the most notable of which includes the Honda Sensing® safety package. This cutting-edge safety suite contains adaptive cruise control, lane keep assist, traffic sign recognition and road departure mitigation among other features.

Honda didn’t forget to inject the fun factor into the technology inside the 2018 Accord either. There’s also an available eight inch touchscreen with access to Apple CarPlay™ and Android Auto™ programs which are a “must have” for mobile music lovers. There’s also a wireless charging station, Wi-Fi hotspot and USB ports inside the 2018 Accord. We could go on and on about the cool features inside this vehicle, but literally don’t have room to list them all. This is why we’ve characterized the all-new 2018 Accord as the most technologically advanced vehicle ever produced by Honda.

Exterior

Lower, wider and shorter. Those are the primary dimensional differences that the 2018 Honda Accord has versus the outgoing model. That lower stance gives Accord a borderline aggressive vibe. The increase in width means more roominess inside (as noted above). The decrease in length is partly responsible for the over 100 pound weight loss that the all-new 2018 Accord experienced.

Performance

The 2018 Accord comes standard with a 1.5L engine that provides 192 horsepower and 192 lb-ft torque. More adventurous types may want to opt for the turbocharged four cylinder option. This will amp your horsepower up to 252 and torque to 273 lb-ft. Both engine configurations represent very well in the fuel efficiency ratings department, something the Accord has been consistent with since practically its inception in the market.
